"Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness."Sunday worship is the focal point of the life of the congregation. We follow the seasons of the Christian Year, and the Revised Common Lectionary. For the current calendar of readings see Lectionary Readings. Music is an important part of our worship. Congregational singing is encouraged, and for that reason we do not have a regular choir. We do have an Ad Hoc Pro Tem Choir and also a Ladies' Choir which contribute to worship on a regular basis, with special music in Advent and Lent. For choir rehearsal times please refer to CALENDAR. Instrumental music is often a feature of worship and we are able to draw on the services of our young people and also of Mount Allison University students. Worship is enriched by our having a custom-built Létourneau tracker action pipe organ, installed in 1990. For further information see Létourneau Organ At each worship service two greeters are on duty to welcome worshippers and especially visitors. The list of greeters is posted on the notice board in the church foyer. Volunteers to act as greeters are welcome; please fill in your name at a vacant spot on the list. |
